CALL FOR YOUNG RESIDENTS

đź’ˇ What is it about?
Would you like to gain new skills and start enriching your professional career in an international environment?
We are looking for recent graduates and young professionals to join the Residency Programme, designed to strengthen the skills of graduates, young professionals, and junior staff through structured learning experiences within Social Business Incubators (SBIs). The programme supports the development of Green/Blue solutions and responses to social challenges, while also enhancing the capacity of SBIs and their support networks.

 

The Residency Programme is promoted within the European project IN4BLUE ITHR0200355, co-funded by the Interreg Italy – Croatia 2021–2027 Programme.

Application deadline:
2 dates: 20 December 2025 and (optional, if candidates are not defined) 8 January 2026

 

Target group:
recent graduates and young workers with less than 5 years of professional experience

🎺 What we offer

Participation in the activities of the Residency Programme over a total of 90 hours, from 15 January 2026 to May 2026 (dates may vary. Any changes will be agreed upon by both parties). The Residency Programme takes place within the Venetian Cluster SBI and addresses challenges related to the coastal tourism sector. SBI activities include:

 

At local level (Province of Venice):
• participation in a Creative Laboratory session – in person
• participation in 2 workshop sessions (IN2BIZ and IN2TECH) – format to be agreed
• support in developing a Business Plan
• contribution to drafting the Public–Private Partnerships Catalogue

 

At international level:
• a possible short-term transnational residency exchange in Croatia (3–5 days) at the SBI of another project partner.

• Tutoring and mentoring with a dedicated mentor who will guide and support the 3 selected residents throughout the programme.
• Meals covered during in-person local activities
• All travel and accommodation expenses in Croatia fully covered (meals, lodging, transport) for a single candidate
• Networking opportunities with international organisations
• Opportunities to take part in international and cross-border events
For a total value of approximately €8,000!

2. Selection of 3 candidates by the Venetian Cluster SBI representatives (see the “Evaluation Criteria” section below)
3. Publication of results
4. Official confirmation via e-mail and signing of the Residence Agreement
5. Kick-off onboarding session
6. Start of activities

• Young professionals and workers with less than 5 years of professional experience

âť— Mandatory requirements:

• Residency in one of the 27 EU Member States. (https://europeanunion.europa.eu/principles-countries-history/eu-countries_it)
• Good command of English (writing, speaking)
• Availability and flexibility to participate in the activities between January and May 2026 for a minimum of 90 hours

🔎 Selection of the 3 young residents

Applications will be evaluated by a committee composed of IN4BLUE project representatives for Venetian Cluster.

Evaluation Criteria – maximum 25 points:

1. Motivation
Why would you like to participate in the Residency Programme?
Maximum score: 10 points

2. Teamwork attitude
Do you enjoy working in a team? Why? What previous group-work experiences do you have, including international contexts?
Maximum score: 5 points

3. Self-discipline
How do you manage work with deadlines and your personal organisation? Do you have relevant past examples of completed tasks?
Maximum score: 5 points

4. English language proficiency
What is your written and spoken English level from 1 to 5 (where 1 is poor and 5 is excellent)?
Maximum score: 5 points

📌 Bonus points (not mandatory but appreciated):

• Willingness to undertake a potential short residency abroad in Croatia (3–5 days)
• Previous experience and/or background in sustainability, social fields, or business
• Interest in the coastal tourism sector

Ownership
All activities carried out within the IN4BLUE call are considered results of the IN4BLUE Project ITHR0200355 and remain the property of the project lead partner and partners, in accordance with the rules of the INTERREG VI-A ITALY–CROATIA 2021–2027 Programme. Participants authorize the project to use any photos and videos for dissemination and promotional purposes. Project documents and results may not be transferred to third parties for the period established by Art. 65 of Regulation (EU) 2021/1060.
